And mark your calendars…our smaller order sales (bundle quantities of 5, 10 and 25) will begin on November 1, 2025.
About the Plants:
The plants offered during our large order sale are 1- to 2-year-old bare-root seedlings (no soil on the roots) that typically range in size from 8” to 24”.

Plant Pick-Up Details: Plants will be available for pick-up between Thursday, February 26, 2026 through Saturday, February 28, 2026. Timeslots for pick-up are chosen during the checkout process. Plants are only available for pick-up at our distribution center held at Lazy J Tree Farm at 225 Gehrke Road in Port Angeles. Shipping is not available.
A brightly colored postcard with your order number will be mailed two weeks in advance to help ensure smooth drive-through service to pick-up plant orders.
Important Notes:
All plants are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Large orders will be accepted August 1, 2025 through October 24, 2025.
All sales are final – changes or refunds are not available after placing an order.
Plants not picked up at your selected pick-up time may be donated to local restoration projects unless prior arrangements are made.
Not all species are available in bulk during our large order sale. Kinnikinnick, Pacific rhododendron, salal and the pollinator seed mix will only be available during our regular order sale beginning November 1, 2025.

Description
Amelanchier alnifolia is a multi-stemmed, deciduous native usually grows 10-12 feet tall, and has smooth, dark gray to reddish bark. Leaves are alternate, thin, oval, and one to two inches long. Flowers are white with five long, thin petals, and form showy, erect or droopy clusters. Fruits are small (½ inch in diameter) and initially dull-red, becoming dark purple when ripe, and look somewhat like small blueberries.
Habitat
In moist to dry areas, on well-drained soils; often in open conifer forests. Full sun to partial shade. Common throughout the Northwest, frequently in thickets. Very drought-tolerant.
Beneficial Uses
Foliage and new twigs are prized by deer and elk. Fruits are eaten by many birds and mammals.
