Join the Clallam County Noxious Weed Control Board and Clallam Conservation District for a hands-on workshop focused on identifying and managing invasive noxious weeds that threaten our local landscapes.

The workshop will also include breakout sessions with specific guidance based on participants interest in either Pastureland Managment or Native Habitat Restoration.

Volunteer Event: Sweep the Broom off East Beach Road

Clallam CD, Clallam County Noxious Weed Control and Olympic National Park are teaming up to tackle Scotch broom along beautiful Lake Crescent on East Beach Road, and we need your help!

Scotch broom is a fast-spreading invasive weed that rapidly crowds out native vegetation. During this event, volunteers and staff will work together to remove Scotch broom using weed wrenches, or by cutting down larger plants when needed. No experience is necessary, training will be provided on-site.
